Afternoon Light

It’s just an ordinary staircase. I never really noticed when passing it day by day. But when you paint, you can see every little detail, from the shadow of the railing to each moss stain, the color of the glass reflecting the blue sky is different from the glass in the shade, the sunlight on the wall is different from the sunlight on the floor… Learning to paint, the most important thing is to learn how to look, and discover that everything around seems boring and monotonous but is actually very interesting and has its own unique features.
