Tiny Pochi is a Vietnamese artist and illustrator. She received her MA in Cultural Intelligence and Innovations before going to expand her artistic practice in illustration, drawing and painting under the guidance of professionals at the Ateliers Beaux-Arts de Paris. A true visual thinker, with a professional background of 4 years in visual communication and a passion for watercolours, she leads dual practice in both fine art painting and illustration for children. Her paintings have been featured in collections in France and abroad.
She currently lives and works in Paris.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I draw and paint mostly to express how my inner child thinks and feels about the world, how it notices beauty in details and fleeting moments. My main medium is watercolours as I am fascinated by the fluidity and versatility of the pigments and its kinetic qualities. Over the years, I have ventured out and experimented with charcoals, pastels, Chinese paints, acrylic, oil, etc. but I’ve always come back to watercolours. It was my first love, and still my best love. Through my paintings with a focus on light and colour, I aspire to express an intimate, delicate and tender look at the beauty of life and nature.

As a typical wallflower, I enjoy observing and feeling much more than talking and can be an excellent listener with infinite patience. Although it makes me vulnerable and frail, it also makes me sensitive enough to notice beauty in all forms and sources. And that makes sense to me – being able to live and experience everything with the ultimate range of emotions and to give some meaning to this life on my part.
